I got this jacket from Gamiss and it can really pull together a winter look. I paired it with my Zara skirt and Pink Haley handbag for a somewhat monochrome look. I loved the way this outfit photographed.

Feel free to check out Gamiss here for some amazing finds at killer prices and as always check out Pink Haley for some handbags that you won’t see anywhere else. Please don’t mind my bruise…yikes.

Statement Sleeves with Zaful

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

A statement sleeve. This trend came into 2016 with a bang and will be definitely sticking around for 2017. There is something about a statement sleeve that just adds an extra bit of chic to your outfit, not to mention it’s a head turner. This statement top is from Zaful, it is truly amazing with the wrap around front and bow accent to make it extra special. Moving on to the sleeves now, let’s talk about tiers. This triple-tiered sleeve adds so much extra volume to the top, it is fantastic. If you find yourself at a dinner party, like I did, every time you reach across the table you get a few stares. This also leads into the cautionary rules of not getting your sleeve in the olive oil dipping sauce in the middle of the table.

This Zaful top comes at such an unbelievable price, $30.99. Zaful really knows how to make a fashion girl’s heart flutter with the prices and look of this top. Feel free to check them out here.

Boho Dreams: Paisley Tunic with Eliza Plume

paisley-dress-copy

This paisley tunic by Eliza Plume has fulfilled my boho dreams. I love how flowy the top is with such an accentuated neckline. The deep-V neckline lays so nicely and is even more flattering with the button-down detail. The buttons go down three inches above your belly button and the sleeves have a bishop style. The tunic goes fabulously with a black pair of jeans and a flat boho hat.

Eliza Plume has some amazing clothes on their site. They are trendy, classic and cute. Not only are they an amazing boutique, but they do amazing things. This quarter they are donating a portion of their proceeds to the Special Olympics in their area. Be sure to check out their site here as well as the paisley tunic here.

Second Skin Overalls by We Wore What’s Danielle Bernstein

second-skin-overalls

I can not tell you how absolutely ecstatic I am to have received a pair of Second Skin Overalls from one of my favorite fashion blogs, We Wore What. I had been telling my family and especially my sister all about them when they launched. I recently entered a giveaway on her Instagram and I won a pair of overalls. So my $240 pair of overall dreams came true.

I selected the High Rise Flare. I must tell you it was such a toss up between these and the Jumpsuit. Although the Jumpsuit is such a killer piece, I could only see myself wearing it a few times and then feeling like it was over worn. With the High Rise Flare, I have been able to wear them multiple times in many different ways. I wore it with an off-the-shoulder top, with a t-shirt and with nothing underneath. The nothing underneath is definitely a going-out look and may give you the tiniest bit of side boob. Needless to say I covered up with a bomber jacket that day.

I absolutely recommend investing in a pair of these, they are so stretchy and warm. Thankfully, they are super accommodating for us long torso girls too. The only thing is that they are a little long. I have the legs of a girl who is about 5’6″, but I am actually 5’8″ and I definitely wear a two-inch-heel boot with these overalls. I really should wear a three-inch heel though.

I can not thank the We Wore What team enough for my new closet staple.

Longline Coat Giveaway with Gamiss

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

Can you really go through winter without a fantastic looking coat? This coat is so soft and so perfect for the season. The color and shape give this coat a sophisticated-winter look. I paired this coat with a casual work-chic dress from Zaful. The coat from Gamiss was about $30, a great price for such an amazing looking piece.

I am a very big fan of playing with proportions in an outfit. With the longline coat and the mini dress it adds a bit of an extra something to the look that catches your eye. This look is perfect for work or the weekend, but the jacket could really go with anything.

Specifically the jacket has a nice smooth lining and pockets to bundle yourself up. There is no front closure so it is more of an open-look coat. This helps to accentuate your look, but I wouldn’t wear it if you were planning to walk outside with it for a cold-windy day.

I’m excited to be doing a giveaway with this jacket to start off the new year. Rules can be found on my Instagram post here.

Make sure to check out the Gamiss site as well here.

Jumpsuits Are Everything with SammyDress

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

This jumpsuit is absolutely to die for. I mean I usually am terrified of ordering skin tight jumpsuits due to my long torso issues, but this photographed so well. I ordered it in an XL, which I highly recommend because it is quite tight otherwise. The drawstring waist gave me the perfect shape. I paired it with  SammyDress’s cape sweater and styled it so that it showed off a sweetheart neckline. The outfit together was gold.

The cape sweater was a little confusing when I got it, you had to wrap it around twice before putting your arms in. It was also at more of crop top length, just in case you plan on wearing it without some high-waisted pants.

The jumpsuit is just extremely versatile in that you can style it in many ways. Off-the-shoulder is definitely a trend to pair this overall-like jumpsuit with, but you could also try a collared button down or long-sleeve crop top.

Sammy Dress has some seriously cute pieces, that you can mix and match just like this. Feel free to check out their site and Facebook.

Cher Horowitz Would Approve of Sweet Fairy Shop

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

This outfit is so killer with the two piece set from Sweet Fairy Shop. Reminiscing in my favorite 90’s movies, I realize there is quite a resemblance between my ensemble and the ever iconic Cher Horowitz ensemble. With the muted gray towns and modern grid pattern, this outfit is so fashionable with its neutral take on things. Adding the bomber jacket really helped modernize the look even more.

The fit is fantastic, usually it’s a bit longer hem line than I like to wear, but it looks gorgeous on. Sweet Fairy Shop has some great structure to all of its outfits. Go check out their site here for more feminine and sweet looks. Don’t forget to use my discount code, “SassOfStyle” to receive 10% off at checkout. Happy Shopping! xx

The Matrix Look Can Be A Flattering One

winter-fashion

I love this longline top. People usually love it or hate it. I get tons of compliments or may receive compliments for looking like a matrix character or the nerd from Grandma’s boy. In my opinion it’s all about how you wear it. With my high-waisted jeans and layered jacket, the compliments start to roll in. I also love testing the boundaries of social acceptably with this one.

Here are some pieces to get the look: Zara Top with Front KnotBrave Soul Longline Split Hem Top , Minimum Linah Longline Shirt , and the Vero Moda Button Side Longline Shirt .

Is the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris Because of Crime?

The Victoria’s Secret fashion show is in Paris, France this year. Such a great selection for the multi-billion dollar company. From the stereotypical Audrey Hepburn lines of, “Paris is always a good idea,” to the sight of all of the Victoria’s Secret Angels posing in front of the Eiffel Tower on Snapchat, Instagram and the web, this could not be a more perfect match.

There is something peculiar about this selection though. As I was listening to my favorite podcast about the recent Paris heists, Pop Fashion, I began to think about how the Victoria’s Secret Show may be actually helping Paris out by holding the show there. With the recent ISIS bombings and high-profile thefts from stars like Kim Kardashian, Bollywood actress Malika Sherawat and recently $5.3 million in jewelry from two Qatari sisters last week, it looks like Paris is in need of some tourism help.

In the New York Times, the chief marketing officer of creative services and executive producer of the show, Edward Razek, said that the show was an investment of over $20 million. This could be deceiving though because usually the company does not disclose how much that they spend on the event. I feel as thought there is definitely a lot of discounted prices or help financially from the Paris Tourist Office because of the recent crime in the city.

This is my theory of the situation. Let me know what you think in the comments. Also don’t forget to tune into the shown this Monday, December 5th at 10 p.m. Eastern on CBS. Should be the best one yet.

Styling Your Leather Pants with Sammydress

literal-camera-bag-copy

Leather pants have been in style for about over 6 years now. The real question is whether you have mastered the artistry of wearing and shopping for these bad boys. When I decided to buy a pair, I kept having the biggest issue when ordering them. It seemed like every pair I bought and returned would be so snug I couldn’t move or so snug I couldn’t button them. There was something completely different about shopping for a pair of leather pants.

The trick is really to order a size or two up. I am a size 6 usually and I had to order a size 10. This also creates an issue if you decide to buy a pair that is high-waisted because then you have the issue of awkward waistline gapping. My best tips for this would be to get them altered, find a great belt or just work with shirts that will compliment the pants.

For my first look I paired them with a jean shirt which I could tuck in to mask the gaping. Add a gray suede biker jacket and fun “camera” bag and you’re ready to go. I am absolutely obsessed with this fringe shirt from Sammydress. It lets me mix up the usual chambray shirt for something with a little more spunk.

In my second look, I wore the off the shoulder top with a choker from Sammydress. I personally love the colors gray and pink together, so naturally I grabbed for my light pink leather jacket to pair with this look. This shirt satisfies your off the shoulder dreams and fulfills your choker obsession.

For my final look, I wore the Sammydress choker sweater, which is so unbelievably cute. I would recommend ordering a size up in this. My long torso needs a little extra fabric to function. My high-waisted leather pants, lets me pull this off though.
