sass of style

For the bold and expressive girl.

Heading to the thrift store may have you playing Macklemore on repeat, but it was an essential destination for Halloween costume searching. My boyfriend and I headed there in hopes to find some key pieces for our “super secret” , but not actually “super secret” costume, but I’m still not going to tell.

To my surprise I had never been to a thrift store this large before. Needless to say the finds I was having were actually quality items. People probably just were not wearing them anymore. There were Steve Madden heels, Kate Spade purses, and Talbots blazers. Those were just a few treasures I found.

I eventually found this beautiful blue- green jacket (pictured below) that I was obsessed with. This was partially because blue-green is my favorite color scheme. The structure and fit were amazing, but with one fatal flaw. The sleeves were too short. I live in Michigan. My whole arm better be covered and then some.

My shopping ensemble had me feeling fabulous in a bodycon midi dress. They are so comfortable and you never have to worry about pulling them down constantly while showing off your curves. The high heeled ankle boots, create an illusion of a longer body because generally midis cut you off in a place that may have you looking more short and stout. The essential hat tops off the outfit for the perfect day accessory.

We did eventually find success in the thrift store with some “secret pieces” for our Halloween costumes. Which of course must be left as a surprise.

Below are some suggestions to get the look.
