The Perfect Bodysuit Style

So I have been wanting to purchase a bodysuit for a long while now. I kept putting it in the millions of online shopping baskets I wanted and then discarding it. I just was not finding the quality I wanted at the price point I had in mind. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, when I had my first actual trip to Zara. Now I have ordered online from Zara, but I had never been inside an actual store.

As you may have noticed by now, I am a bit of a bargain shopper. There is something about getting an item that retails for $100 and scoring it for $20. When I walked into Zara, like any smart merchandiser may have planned, the most visible items were the most expensive. At the beginning of the store were the items priced $100 and over. I checked out a few cute things and scurried my way to the back to find the normal pieces I shop for online at Zara. Right as I entered the back of the store, the bodysuit stuck out to me. I’d been wanting this purchase forever and why not make it happen in my first trip ever to Zara?

There are a few tips to buying a bodysuit though. Tip 1: Make sure the material is comfortable and stretchy. When something is that tightly wrapped around your body, the last thing you want is an uncomfortable material riding up. Tip 2: I happen to have a very long torso, so opting for the large in any one piece items is a must. Tip 3: Check for bra visibility by sticking something bright underneath the fabric. I almost purchased a white bodysuit there until I realized the fatal issue with the suit.

I ended up pairing my bodysuit with a jean-button-down-pencil skirt, some killer booties and my favorite My Girl sunglasses from Quay eyewear. This look is perfect for a hot summer’s day and easy to go from day-to-night.
